How to join

Join Our Choir

Brackley Male Voice Choir is a community based group founded in 1995. The choir meets to rehearse most Wednesday evenings (during school terms, refer to rehearsal dates on web site) from 7:30 till 9:00p.m. at Brackley Baptist Church, Waynflete Close, Brackley.

We are led by a Director of Music, Shaun Humphries. We are currently performing approximately six concerts a year in and around the Brackley area.

The repertoire changes frequently however the core of the songs are based on traditional male choral pieces. These are interspersed with songs from the shows e.g. My Fair lady, Les Miserables, Lion King and other contemporary pieces.

There are currently 30 active members and we are looking to increase our numbers to 40. We like to have a good time singing. Comradeship and the love of singing is as important to us as musical ability. There are no auditions to join. We are open to all males over the age of eighteen, who wants to join and don’t mind if you’re new to singing we only ask that you are passionate about music and happy to sing in a group.

If you would like to experience this joyful experience for a few weeks without obligation, contact John Cooney on 01280 704149 or just turn up on a Wednesday evening.

“ I would urge all those who sing along with the radio or in the shower to come and hear us, or better still, come and join us!” says John. “As you can see we are not exactly a youth choir, but we would love to have some younger voices join us in the choir! You are guaranteed a warm welcome.”
