about-brackley-male-voice-choir

The objective of the Choir is to provide an opportunity for local men to meet regularly and make music together. We also support and entertain local charities and organisations with concerts.

Brackley Male Voice Choir is a non profit making community based choir. The choir was formed in 1995 by John Cooney (Hon. President). John moved from Wales to Brackley in 1974.

There are no auditions to join; all you need is an enthusiasm and a love of singing. We sing music based on traditional male voice choral pieces, interspersed with songs from the shows and popular music. To find out more about the choir, you can also visit our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Apart from performing for local organisations and charities, the Choir has often performed during the Brackley Music Festival. The choir has also performed with other Choirs, notably Newport and District Male Voice Choir.

The Choir is managed by a small committee whilst the musical side is led by our Musical Director, Shaun Humphries.

Rehearsals are on a Wednesday evening at Brackley Baptist Church, Waynflete Close, Brackley commencing at 7:30 till 9p.m.

Sponsorship

Although all the members pay for the privilege of singing, we rely on local sponsors to enable the Choir to function. If you are interested in sponsoring the Choir please contact David Connolly, Telephone 01280 702570.
